Shon O’brien St. Patrick’s Day 2017
“My St. Patty’s day video shoot experience”
It was typical day in Riverside where I live. I was told that we were going to do a Saint Patty’s video shoot in Moreno Valley at the Wholesale Capital Corp. I was not feeling very good, I was at the tale end of that cold that has been going around. It seemed like all my friends in Riverside and Moreno Valley had it.
They call me Realtor Shon and the show must go on. So I drove to Moreno Valley and met with Lee and Chris from Wholesale Capital Corp. They coached me by saying Shon the idea here is to get your -self out there as a community Realtor in Riverside and Moreno Valley. As I was waiting I was thinking Shon you are not feeling well why are you here, but the show must go on after all I am Realtor Shon! I was called up. First thing was to place the microphone on and then step in front of the camera. All of a sudden I felt like a star. A Riverside Realtor celebrity at a Moreno Valley studio. I can’t make this stuff up. So I am Shon O’Brien, how much more Irish do you get? I thought I would use an Irish accent so I tried it and the team at WCC liked it. The problem was it was practice. Really, what pressure, I had nailed it so can lightening strike in this Moreno Valley Studio twice? Well here we go and I did it again. It was a little different being adlibbed but just rolled with it. It was good. I thought this was easier than being a Realtor in So Cal. Well it was good but everyone said to do it again just because. So I ran through it again. You know with every run it seemed to get a little easier. It was a rap! No snap from the directors take board just that’s it. No glitz or fame just done. I take off the mic and my short climb to fame and fortune as a Celebrity Realtor was over, or so I thought.
With all the buzz I was not so focused on how bad I was feeling. I guess it really does make a difference who you hang out with. Positive, successful people helping families in the Moreno Valley and Riverside area with home purchasing, go figure. It was about a couple of weeks and the video was edited and ready to view. Now it seems with a little luck of the Irish and St. Patty’s Day charm this video with its well wishing is just the beginning. People are saying how fun it was to watch and sharing it with others and enjoying it. I have to admit it was fun. It was not as bad as I thought. You know it is kind of like how some people object to the home buying process. Some people have in their mind that it is hard. The thing is that I along with Chris and Lee of WCC are professionals looking to make real estate dreams happen. I it is much more fun of a process when your hanging out with the pros.
